Architecture

I am drawn to the architecture of cities as a record of their histories, ambitions and everyday lives. Through photography, I look at buildings not only as structures, but as traces of the people, cultures and moments that have shaped them.

I often work in black and white to strip away the distractions of colour and draw attention to form, light, texture and contrast. It allows me to focus on the character of a building and the relationship between architecture, people and the spaces around them.

My photographs move between monumental buildings and overlooked details, from historic landmarks to ordinary streetscapes. Together, they form an ongoing visual record of the cities I encounter and the layers of time embedded within them.
