Overview
Journey into northern Uganda where wildlife, memory, and architecture converge in breathtaking landscapes. This four-day safari begins at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to Uganda’s only wild rhinos, where a guided trek brings you up close to these endangered giants in their natural habitat.
Continue to Gulu, a town rich in colonial and Indian-built architecture. Explore the historic Baker’s Fort, the Gulu Railway Station, and St. Joseph’s Cathedral, as you walk through stories etched in brick, stone, and community spaces. These architectural traces reflect Uganda’s layered past and evolving present.
Next, travel through Karamoja’s open plains to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Africa’s most pristine and remote wildlife areas. Enjoy game drives with chances to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes against a backdrop of dramatic hills and sweeping savannah. Stay at the historic Katurum Lodge, designed in 1971 by Danish architect Hans Munk Hansen—a striking modernist structure perched on a ridge once visited by Idi Amin.
On your final day, descend from the wilds to Aruu Falls, a cascading wonder tucked in northern Uganda’s rocky terrain. It’s the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature before heading back to Kampala.
This tour is ideal for those seeking a rare blend of wildlife adventure, cultural depth, and architectural heritage—framed through thoughtful travel and guided storytelling.
