Returning to the Wild

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday—and with it, a quiet milestone. Over the past few months, I’ve been building this website, tweaking bits and pieces, and trying to bring together all my experiences as an artist, traveler, and curator under one home. It’s also a return to something I’ve missed deeply: the art of travel storytelling.

I find myself at a point of openness—ready to learn new things, but also called to continue the work I’ve already begun. My project Page 4 has demanded a lot from me—mentally and emotionally. At times, I needed to pause, to take a breath. And so, this space is part of that breath. A return. A quiet rekindling.

This is me—back to walking in the wild, where my artistic journey began. And now, I return with new eyes. Open to this ever-shifting canvas, to the colours of nature I will once again paint with.

The aerial photograph above, of Lake Bunyampaka in Queen Elizabeth National Park, was taken during a photo safari with the Wikipedia community in June 2024 last year. It’s been my anchor—a reminder. I fell in love with nature all over again that day. And I promised myself to return—not only more focused and organised, but still playful, still open to what the road offers.

Each journey, a blank canvas.
